Decor Elements Growth Chart

When my little guy first started walking I searched high and low for a decent growth chart, then finally found THE GROWTH CHART from Stampin' Up!

2stampis2b Michelle Tech Rapid City Black Hills South Dakota Stampin Up Demonstrator Growth Chart Decor Elements Definitely Decorative

It fit perfectly with the paint job in my little guy's room and I think it looks gorgeous!  You'll find it in the Definitely Decorative 2010 Catalog, along with many other cool new Decor Elements.  Have you seen my other Decor Elements in my home?  I have one or two to put up yet, and as soon as I do I'll show you!

Even if your kids are a little older than mine, you can still get your own Growth Chart (#117519) and transfer their previous measurements to this beautiful wall art!  They grow up so fast...don't miss an inch!

Edited to add:  Here's a tip on keeping up with your measurements...do it every year on your kids' birthdays and make it a habit!  I also like to see how my little guy is growing at the beginning and ending of each school year for the school days scrapbook I'm keeping up for him.  Also, if you have measurements elsewhere, why not transfer them to your new Growth Chart when you get it put up?!

So tell me...how tall (or not, in my case) is your oldest?

Valentine's Day Heart Treat Cups Hostess Gift

The only thing missing from this cute little vase that I gave Michelle M as a hostess gift at her workshop is the Rose Red Decor Elements flower I demonstrated...it was so quick and easy to apply it to the front of the jar!

2stampis2b Michelle Tech Rapid City Black Hills South Dakota Stampin Up Demonstrator Sweetheart Heart Treat Cups Hostess Gift

This project came together very quickly using the new Sweetheart stamp stamp, Full Heart Punch, and Heart Treat Cups.

  1. Stamp the heart in Rose Red, then punch the center out with the Full Heart Punch.
  2. Fill the Heart Treat Cup with candy and adhere a piece of card stock to the back.  Trim around the Heart Treat Cup.
  3. Stamp the leaves in Certainly Celery and cut out, then glue the heart and leaves to a lollipop stick using Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive.
  4. Stamp the bird in Bashful Blue and again in Pumpkin Pie then cut out using Paper Snips, adhere using Mini Glue Dots.
  5. Stamp the greeting in Rose Red, punch with the Small Oval Punch and layer onto a Rose Red Scallop Oval Punch piece with a Stampin' Dimensional.
  6. Tie some Linen Thread through a small hole in the tag and then around the flower stem.

You can see how I've used some of my other Decor Elements from Stampin' Up! in my house by clicking on my Definitely Decorative and Decor Elements category in my sidebar.  I've added a few more that I'll post later, too!

Decor Elements Chalkboard Decorative Sign

I have several Decor Elements vinyl wall art pieces in my house, and this one is my newest and favorite!

2stampis2b Michelle Tech Rapid City Black Hills South Dakota Stampin Up Demonstrator Definitely Decorative Decor Elements Decorative Sign

I put up the Chalkboard Decorative Sign in my stamping studio right above my tall table, so that I can write project details on it for photographing!  I got the idea right away, it just took me awhile to get to it!  My wall has an orange-peel texture to it, but the vinyl is sticking just fine.  The smoother the better, but so far so good!  There are several new designs offered in the chalkboard vinyl, which you can see in the new Definitely Decorative brochure.

So, you'll see that my photos are going to be a little different for awhile, with the item number shown right on the photo!  All I have to do is erase the chalk like a regular chalkboard (I use a dry paper towel) and write again!  What could you use the many Chalkboard vinyl Decor Elements for in your home?

If you'd like to put up some beautiful, high-quality vinyl wall art in your home, your RV, and even on your car windows (really!), you can Shop Now on my Stampin' Up! website at 2stampis2b.stampinup.net!

Relax

I finally got my bathroom wall decorated while my sister was here to help this last weekend. I added white lettering to the Flourish Frame in Chocolate. It's a beautiful reminder to relax and pamper each day!

Pamper yourself today, even just a little bit!

Decor Elements Project Vase

Demonstrators were given a Decor Elements sample in our August issue of Stampin' Success! (Contact me to find out how you can get this benefit among many others by becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.)

Before I even got my sample, and knowing it was coming and it's size (thanks Patty!), I had this idea in mind. I wanted to apply the Decor Element to a vase that I could add pretty rocks and chokecherry whips to (straight off our own property!), and then decorate some miniature clothespins for displaying cards! I will take this to workshops so we can all see the Make & Takes better that we are working on.

I used some Die-Cut blooms to decorate the clothespins, and tied a 5/8" Old Olive ribbon around the top of the sturdy jar (lid removed) that I got at Hobby Lobby in anticipation of the Decor Elements sample arrival. It's thick glass and should travel just fine to all the workshops we'll be having this fall and winter!

Thanks for looking! I got the idea, by the way, from Charmaine at Oodabug Alley with her Picture Pot. Love her work!

Decor Elements Vinyl Artwork for Home Decor

New to the Stampin' Up! line of products is Decor Elements, vinyl artwork for your home! Click here to see the Decor Elements catalog, and click here to see an instruction video.

Here, I applied the medium Long-Stem Silhouette to my glass cupboard door. It was so easy to apply, and I love the look!

In my office over my husband's desk I added the small Lollipop Flower just above the chair rail paint stripe. I love the whimsical design!

Decor Elements come in Chocolate, White, or Kraft colors in many sizes. There are several designs to pick from. Next, I think I'm going to get a medallion and monogram for my bathroom wall! I'm still trying to decide what to put on my Stamp Studio walls.
