Candy Kabobs

At club we did two projects: Tile Coasters (a big hit!) and these Christmas Candy Kabobs that I first saw on Andrea Walford's wonderful blog:

We used the 2 greens from the Ski Slope DSP and Olive Olive CS, each color punched from the 3 different sizes of circle punches that Andrea recommends. And we used the Large Star Punch as I don't have the small one. For another variation, you could spear foil-wrapped Reeses cups or any other favorite Christmas candy on the bamboo skewer.

Are these cute or what? We had a very fun time making our projects and sampling all the potluck holiday food everyone brought. Mom took the lead on the tile project and we did them a little different this time by using Clear Embossing Powder over the craft ink instead of spraying acrylic sealer over them. They look really cool! Everyone made a set of 4 tiles to keep or give as a gift. I think some of you are even going to go into Christmas gift production with the tiles, huh?

The other fun thing we did that the Club gals came up with was brought a Christmas card to exchange. We had a nice variety and got some great ideas, and everyone went home with a different card! Here's a photo of the whole batch:

Good job girls!

See you tomorrow!
