Hurry for a Free Stamp Set!

Edited to Add: We have a winner! But don't let that stop you from getting a free catalog and free Sale-a-Bration gift by ordering $50 or more online from me!

I am =this= close to reaching a monthly goal, so I am offering a prize to you in hopes of getting there.

The first person to place an online order for $50 or more before shipping/handling and taxes with me before Saturday night by 11:00 pm Mountain Time (that's 9 pm Eastern, 10 pm Central, and Midnight Pacific), February 28th, will get this wonderful, versatile stamp set called "Tagger's Dozen" mailed to them.

It's a shame that this set of 12 stamps was retired, because it covers so many occasions! Some of the images give you the look of 2-step stamping without the 2 steps, and all of the stamps fit the Tag and Small Tag punches for easy layering.

Not only will you get this special retired stamp set from me, you'll also get a FREE catalog from Stampin' Up! just for ordering, PLUS, since you're ordering $50 or more, you get to pick a FREE stamp set, Designer Series Paper pack, or double ribbon roll from the Sale-a-Bration catalog! You're pretty much getting double the goods for your money!

In order to score this set from me, go to my Shop Now button at http://2stampis2b.stampinup.net/ and make sure that you choose me, Michelle Tech, as your demonstrator. Remember, your order must total $50 in merchandise before the shipping/handling and tax is applied.

Thanks and GOOD LUCK!

How Do I Store My Paper?

Q: I was asked "How do you store your 8-1/2" x 11" paper?"

A: I am so thrilled to share with you how I store my paper! It's my friend Teresa's idea and it is working SO well for me.

I found this lateral file cabinet at Office Max for $99.

It holds ALL of my 8-1/2" x 11" Stampin' Up! paper, and I do have all of it!

TIP: I keep full sheets of one color in its own Pendaflex hanging file folder and folders are grouped by color family. I printed the name of the color on a clear label (you could use your P-Touch labeler too!), then slipped a small piece of that colored paper behind the clear label so that I can see the colors at a glance just by looking at the popup Pendaflex labels.

I put unopened paper packs of the same color behind the loose sheets from opened paper packs in that color's hanging file folder. This helps me to know what I'm getting low on. Each hanging file folder for a color has a manila folder in the front where I keep all scraps that match...anything less than a full sheet. This is the first place I look when I need a certain color so that I use my scraps first! Saves money that way!

I managed to get all of the colors and In Colors by putting a couple of paper packs on my orders every time I order. I love having all of the colors at my fingertips! I did the same thing with the ink pads and am currently working on getting all the reinkers too!

So, let me have it...what questions do YOU have for me?

Branch Out Seasons

Yesterday I showed you the Branch Out Frames set of 3 that I had made. Today I wanted you to see them up close and personal.

(spring & summer)

(fall)

(winter)

I think these will look very nice in a grouping of 3 on the wall.

TIP: Target sold these frames in sets of 3, which is why I combined spring & summer. Plus, there's that "rule of three"! You could make all 4 seasons if you can find 4 matching frames, or even use frames that purposelyl don't match to mix it up!

Branch Out Frames

The first time I saw the Branch Out stamp set, I knew I had to have it! The sample card on page 100 of the Stampin' Up! Spring-Summer '09 Idea Book & Catalog sealed the deal.

I found these frames in a set of 3 at the Target Dollar Spot and knew they'd be perfect for a nice little wall grouping using Branch Out.

The Branch Out set has 8 stamps in it for creating any season you'd like. I combined spring and summer here to match the 3 frames I found. All you have to do is use different colors for the "leaves" stamp in the set to make the different seasons, or substitute the snowflakes for leaves.

TIP: I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to position my leaves, snowflakes, birdhouse, bird, tire swing, and butterflies (there are rain boots, too), but I have since made another set that I'll show you later where I didn't use the SAMJ and everything turned out just fine. It's a very forgiving stamp set!

The Branch Out stamp set would make great cards, scrapbook pages, and gifts, too!

Sock Monkey Birthday

This was made for my nephew's birthday...shhhh! Don't tell him there's a Lego set in that wrapping!

I used the Sock Monkey stamp set, some faux stickles to jazz up the balloons, and my new Texturz Plates Set #4 for my Big Shot on the Top Note layer after spritzing some rubbing alcohol on the Riding Hood Red cardstock to get a nice, crisp imprint.

This card and giftwrap could easily be adapted for Valentine's Day by switching out the cupcake and balloons with the heart from the stamp set.

If you'd like to make your own birthday gift and card set, you can order the supplies online anytime at my Stampin' Up! website at http://2stampis2b.stampinup.net, just click the Shop Now button and choose me, Michelle Tech, as your demonstrator to get the preferred pricing.
Remember, you DO NOT need to wait for a workshop to order!

Glittery Tree

My friend Teresa and her husband were here to snowmobile last weekend, and look what we made from the supplies she brought with her! Glittered glass ornaments, which could be for lots of holidays that have trees: even a Valentine's tree if you do red and pink! These would be pretty on an Easter tree, too.

Nestability Storage Solution

Edited to Add: Veronica was on a mission and found one of these at Target (seems they are hard to find now). The brand is Memorex and they call it a "CD & DVD File-N-Store Box 80ct." Thanks for sharing that Veronica!

I found this CD box with hanging folders at Target, at the time on sale for 10 bucks! I decided it would be a great place to hold my nesties, one set in each handing CD folder. There are labels at the top of each folder to write on, I just haven't done it yet.

I've tried magnet sheets, book rings, bulldog clips on a magnetic tile, but nothing quite ever worked too well. This I think will do just fine.

February Club Projects

For Club this month we made:

Pixie Stix flower pots. The punched tin pails came from Target, as did the paper crinkles. And after looking EVERYWHERE in town for Pixie Stix, I finally found them at a gas station! Go figure!

This Chunky Glitter Love card, and we got to use the new Texturz Plates. Our trick for getting a nice, crisp image embossed in that Pink Pirouette paper: Spritzing the paper with rubbing alcohol first!

And this cute bookmark made with the new SAB Polka Dot Punches stamp set and Raspberry Tart DSP.

RAK from Joyce after retreat

Isn't this card I received from my upline, Joyce, beautiful! I love how she matched the Sale-a-Bration Polka Dot Punches stamped images with the tone-on-tone punches on the card base, made with the 5-Petal Flower Punch.

Very nice, Joyce!

Retreat Thank You Card #2

If you attended Winter Stampin' Retreat with Joyce and I, you may have gotten this card as a thank you from Joyce and I for attending. The stamp set is Friends 24-7 and is found on page 81 of the Spring-Summer '09 Idea Book & Catalog. If you look at that page, you'll notice that my card is nearly a direct CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone...highly encouraged!) of the card that features this set in the catalog!

I used the single stamp called Elegant Thank You found on page 208 for the inside.

Here's a quick look at my mass-production (not too many, though) of the card, showing all the different prepared pieces right before final assembly. Everything is stamped, colored, torn, ribboned, distressed, and cut out with my wonderful Paper Snips. All that was left was a little SNAIL adhesive and Stampin' Dimensional action!

Thanks for stopping by today!
