For the retreat attendees and others interested in making the envelope scrapbook we made at retreat today, here are the instructions. The project was CASEd from Dawn Olchefske.
You'll need:
- 1 sheet of 12x12 Designer Series Paper
- 1 sheet of solid matching Card Stock
- 1 sheet of Kraft Card Stock
- 3 Medium Kraft Envelopes
- 3 Clear Rhinestones
- 1/2" Library Clip
- SNAIL Adhesive
- Paper Trimmer
Cut the 12 x 12 DSP like this:
And the matching cardstock like this:
And the Kraft card stock like this:
Adhere the 3 envelopes together by their flaps to create a 3-envelope chain. To do this, zip some SNAIL around the 4 sides of the envelope flap, then attach that flap to the back of the next envelope. The one free flap you'll cover with your excess Designer Series Paper, trimming the excess with Paper Snips.
Adhere 3 of the Kraft pieces to 3 of the matching card stock with SNAIL. Pierce a hole along one long side of each card at 2.75" and about 1/4" in from the side, then put a Clear Rhinestone brad in it.
Slip each of these 3 layered photo mats into the envelopes. Mark the envelope next to each brad, then take a half-circle bite out of the envelope to create a cutout for the rhinestone finger pull to fit into.
Now adhere your 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper to the fronts of each envelope. Trim your 1" pieces to 1" x 5.5", turn over for the other side of the double-sided Designer Series Paper, and attach.
Stamp your designs, back with punched images and attach to the envelope fronts using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The envelope scrapbook folds accordian-style and is kept closed with one 1/2" Library Clip at the top.
What a perfect gift for Mother's Day!
