Do I have another job? I do have other jobs! My first job is an environmental engineer, which I have been doing from home since we moved back home to the Black Hills. That has kept me busy mostly in the late fall/early winter. I also decided to become a medical transcriptionist just over 2 years ago, which I also do from home. I have some help this summer so will only be doing that half as much until school starts again so I can focus more on my Stampin' Up! business and my most important job as mother of a 6-year-old boy! There are Legos and model trains to build this summer, and we're going to t-ball games and picnicking and all sorts of fun stuff!
How do I find my customers? I have lots of places and ways I find my customers: my home town of Sturgis and the rest of the Black Hills through area scrapbooking retreats that I am a part of, workshops & classes that I hold, and word of mouth; and online here at my blog, through twitter, my Facebook page, and my YouTube channel. Sometimes customers find me by searching the Stampin' Up! website or googling things like "Sock Monkey!"
What is my favorite type of class or workshop to have? I love home workshops! I like to start out with a quick Big Shot project, then we all do a nice Make & Take card. It is so much fun to get your friends together so that I can teach them something new and exciting while getting in some good girl time!
