This is my 2nd post today! Make sure you scroll down to see my first post, Day 1 of my Artisan Awards entries!
For my second week of participating in the Mojo Monday sketch challenge, I may have gone a little far in the interpretation, but I had this wild idea and HAD to run with it!
A ferris wheel at the fair! It's fair time here right now, and while I was in the shower I decided I'd actually CUT INTO my Storybook Specialty Designer Series Paper (gasp!) (do you keep a bath crayon in YOUR shower to write those great ideas down? I always think of great concepts or forgotten things to do when I can't get them written down, so this is my trick!).
I altered a Big Shot Snowflake #2 shape for my ferris wheel, cutting of the snowflake tips and every other spoke, then I adhered the Putt Putt watercolored stamped images to the 3 spokes that were left. I mounted the snowflake to a clear acrylic Scallop Circles #2 Big Shot shape (the small scallop circle) and through to the back of the DSP so that the ferris wheel will turn on the card.
This Specialty DSP card stock is very thick and almost like watercolor paper. What fun it was to color it in the colors that are listed as matching in the Idea Book & Catalog. I hope you'll forgive the fact that I strayed a little from the sketch...but it sure did get my Mojo going this Monday!
