I decided to try a "No Layers" swap at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention, and this is the result, which I like! No layers and only one embellishment allowed...WOW, it was kinda tough!
We were allowed to use our Movers & Shapers Curly Label Big Shot Die since it actually takes away a layer by punching out a shape anywhere you want on the card.. I did some masking behind the birdcage and heat embossing of the bird cage, then finished it off with some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (yay that it's going to carry over to a "write-in" status to the big catalog!). The bird is highlighted by coloring him in with a VersaMarker. I hope the swappers like my first attempt at a "no-layers" card! I made it up in 3 colors, so I'll show you the other 2 soon.
