Opening Ceremony Forest
- First I stamped and embossed the trunk rectangles with the Woodgrain background stamp in VersaMark ink and Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.
- Then, I used a torn edge of card stock (similar to the tree canopy in my card) to lay over my trunk, canopy, and forest floor pieces, then sponged in circular motions with various Classic inks against that edge, moving it frequently at different angles to create the shadowy effect you see above.
- Using my Paper Snips I cut the trunks into 3 at the bottom, just like the opening ceremony!
- For my forest floor flowers I spritzed my Trio Flower Punch shapes with my Color Spritzer Tool and some Stampin' Write Markers, then glued pink beads from the Pink Bead Duo with Crystal Effects.
- The tree canopy has a nice 3D effect due to the layering of the torn pieces with Stampin' Dimensionals.
You like? I for one, was in total awe during the entire ceremony!
