At Hostess Club this month we were all about the emboss resist technique.  This is one of the cards we made.

We sponged several Classic Ink colors over the new Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper (available in the new Summer Mini Catalog) for this look.

Presto Patterns Emboss Resist

• For the emboss resist technique, you can make your own resist by heat embossing card stock with Stampin' Emboss Powder and your Heat Tool, or you can start with pre-made embossed card stock like we did with the above card.
• When you sponge Classic Ink over the embossed pattern, the underlying card stock picks up the color but the embossing doesn't take the color, it resists it, revealing the embossed pattern!
• I also used my new favorite Embossing Folder, Square Lattice, available exclusively from Stampin' Up!

What is a Hostess Club? It's a great way to budget and build up your Stampin' Up! supplies by getting together at least 6 of your friends for the club and meeting each month to learn new techniques while making a few projects.
