Kissing with stamps, that is!
Sweet Scoops Kissing Technique
The Kissing Technique is a fun way to get even more designs out of your stamps by enhancing or altering one image with another. We used the Sweet Scoops stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog for this bright card.- Ink up your solid stamp with one color (I used Pretty in Pink on the solid ice cream scoop stamp). Lay it down on your Grid Paper, face up.
- Ink up your second stamp with a contrasting color (in my case the texture stamp in Melon Mambo).
- Stamp the second stamp on to the first stamp that is on the table, being careful not to slide it around, just stamp straight down. TIP: Laying the one on the table and leaving it there instead of trying to hold the two reduces the chance of slippage/smearing.
- Now stamp that double-inked image onto your card stock for the completed image! Pretty cool, huh? It's a bit of a shortcut to masking in a way...I like shortcuts! Just be sure to clean your double-inked stamp in between each time so you don't get the darker ink on your lighter ink pad.
