NHFCU Hostess Club Kickoff Party Projects
The owl party favor uses the Top Note Bigz Die, Birds and Blooms flower die, My Way punch(cutting the arrow tail off for the beak), Scallop Circle, 1" and 1/2" circle punches, and the Small Cello Bags.
The Scaredy Cat card uses the Weathered Background stamp (retired, but I HAD to use it!) and the Batty for You stamp set. Punches are Scallop Circle and Spiral, Cardstock is Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Whisper White and Ghostly Greetings DSP. The ribbon is 1/4" Basic Black grosgrain. Inks: Basic Black, White Signo Gel Pen.
And, the popcorn ball holder uses the Eat, Drink, and Be Scary stamp set from the Mini Catalog coming out October 1st. I made the broom from a bamboo skewer, some Linen Thread, and Tombow Multi Adhesive. The wide oval punch makes a window for the popcorn ball, which is held in place by Mini Glue Dots.

Theresa & Betty's Workshop Card
We use the Sponge Daubers to add Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, and Kiwi Kiss to the Pink Pirouette-inked stamp. We also added some Riding Hood Red to the Pink Pirouette blossom cutout with an Aqua Painter to give it a little more color. The brad is Ruby Red from the Earth Elements brads.
We also made a 6x6 scrapbook page, which I'll show in another post...
Stay tuned!

The Big Shot
I can email you the brochure if you contact me!
If you're not too sure about buying the whole starter kit at once, I am offering locals a Big Shot Club to spread out the cost of having this wonderful die-cutting system:
Find 3 of your friends to join you in your Big Shot Club. In the order you sign up (or whatever your group decides on will work for you), you will take turns like this:
- I'll hostess the first month at my house for a kickoff party to make some projects using the Big Shot! The first person orders the machine for $99.95
- The other 3 agree to purchase at least $19.95 in dies that month on your order to make up an order that qualifies for Hostess Benefits.
- You get the regular Hostess Benefits from the Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog for that order, including a minimum of one free Hostess Stamp set and at least $15 in Hostess dollars to spend on stamps, accessories, or more dies!
- The next month, you hostess at your house with your new machine you've received, the next person orders the machine and the rest of you purchase dies, etc. until you all have your machines! In the meantime, you've accumulated several dies to use and have several projects made!
Each month we'll rotate Hostesses and I'll bring all my dies and a few projects for us to to work on. Contact me today to get a Big Shot Club started! You only need 4 people!
Sounds like fun!

Topnote Books
I had seen them on SCS Saturday and knew that I had to make them ASAP! We used the cardboard backing sheet from a DSP paper pack as our cover base, then adhered some DSP to the cardboard rectangle using Anywhere Glue Stick. Then, we cut each front and back cover out using the Top Note Bigz die, along with some plain white or lined paper sheets for the pages. We punched holes and set large eyelets for the ribbon tie using my Crop-o-Dile Big Bite, then bound it all with the Bind-It-All (ha ha).
These would make great mini albums, gifts, or door prizes!
Hope you all had a great long weekend. I'll show more projects we made next post.
